Terms & Conditions
Film.Ca Entertainment Corporation
Effective Date: January 12, 2026
1. General Application
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all patrons and guests who interact with Film.Ca Entertainment Corporation (“Film.Ca”), whether in person at any theatre or premises operated by Film.Ca or through Film.Ca’s websites, mobile applications, online services, or digital platforms.
1.2 Entry to and presence within Film.Ca premises, or use of Film.Ca’s online or digital services, constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and acknowledgment of all posted policies, notices, and staff instructions.
1.3 Film.Ca reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of entry shall apply.
2. Right of Admission
2.1 Film.Ca reserves the right to refuse admission to or remove any person from its premises where a patron does not comply with these Terms and Conditions orwhere their presence or conduct may negatively impact the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of others.
2.2 This right is exercised in a reasonable and non-discriminatory manner consistent with applicable law.
3. Film Classification and Content Information
3.1 Film.Ca provides film classification and content information in accordance with the Film Content Information Act, 2020 (Ontario) and its associated regulations.
3.2 The Act requires exhibitors to display film content information to assist the public in making informed viewing decisions and does not mandate enforcement of advisory age classifications by exhibitors.
3.3 Film classifications and content advisories supplied by distributors orrecognized classification systems are clearly displayed at each Film.Ca location prior to ticket purchase. This includes, where applicable: box office signage, online and mobile ticketing platforms, theatre level postings, digital displays.
3.4 Film.Ca ensures that classification information is accessible to patrons so that informed viewing decisions can be made.
3.5 As a matter of company policy and contractual condition of admission, Film.Ca applies the following age-related conditions:
3.5.1 Restricted (R) Films — Admission is limited to patrons who are 18 years of age or older. Proof of age may be requested where age is reasonably in question.
3.5.2 18A Films — Patrons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Proof of age may be requested where age is reasonably in question.
3.5.3 14A Films — Film.Ca does not enforce age restrictions for films classified as 14A. Parents and guardians are encouraged to review film ratings, advisories, and content descriptions and to determine appropriateness for their children.
3.6 This approach reflects the intent of the Film Content Information Act, 2020, which emphasizes transparency and informed choice rather than mandatory enforcement of advisory classifications.
3.7 Where proof of age is requested for 18A or Restricted films, Film.Ca accepts the following valid and unexpired government-issued photo identification: Ontario Driver’s Licence, Ontario Photo Card, Canadian Passport, Permanent Resident Card, Provincial or territorial driver’s licence or photo identification issued by another Canadian jurisdiction.
3.8 Photocopies, digital images, or expired identification are not accepted.
3.9 Admission may be denied where these conditions of admission are not met.
