We are looking for enthusiastic Camp Leaders for our amazing Film.ca Academy Summer Camps. The program consists of a weeklong camp in which students write and film their very own short film all in one week! In between QUIET ON SET moments, we play games, do crafts, and plan fun film-centred activities.
In your Camp Leader role, you will be connecting with and leading a group of children aged 6-12 while ensuring a safe and fun environment every week for all campers.
Day & Times:
- Monday - Friday
- Varying hours between 8am & 6pm
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Leading and instructing kids, grades 1 - 8
- Taking part in activities with kids such as, board games, outdoor activities, and filming.
- Ensuring the safety of all kids within the camp every week.
- Ensuring a safe and creative space for students to inspire, learn, and create.
Requirements:
- Experience working with kids
- Film/Acting schooling or experience (not necessary)
- Current vulnerable sector screening check, which includes a criminal reference check (can be provided after receiving offer of employment, but before interaction with students/campers)

The Academy camp consists of a weeklong camp in which students write and film their very own short film all in one week! In between shoots, campers will play games, do crafts, and partake in fun film-centred activities.
In your Film Expert role you will be connecting with, and inspiring youth in their creative and artistic journeys; providing specific film instruction throughout the week.
Day & Times:
- Monday - Friday
- Varying hours between 8am & 6pm
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Leading and instructing kids, grades 1 - 8
- Leading and actively participating in activities with kids such as, board games, outdoor activities, and filming.
- Ensuring the safety of all kids within the camp every week.
- Ensuring a safe and creative space for students to inspire, learn, and create.
- Editing and filming of short films created by students
- Ensuring a safe and creative space for students to inspire, learn, and create.
