Manager – Film.Ca Troyes Cinema
Location: Petawawa, Ontario
Position: Manager
Reports to: Senior Manager
Compensation: $20 - $22/hr 

About the Role
Film.Ca Cinemas is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Manager to join the leadership team at Film.Ca Troyes Cinema.

Working closely with the Senior Manager, the Manager helps oversee the day-to-day operation of the theatre, providing leadership to the team while ensuring an exceptional guest experience and consistent Film.Ca standards.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, taking initiative, and being part of a community-focused entertainment business.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the theatre.
- Lead, support, coach, and motivate theatre employees during assigned shifts.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance management.
- Provide direction to employees and ensure assigned duties are completed effectively.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash, inventory, cleanliness, and security requirements.
- Ensure the theatre is clean, safe, well-maintained, and properly presented for guests.
- Maintain Film.Ca standards for guest service, cleanliness, safety, and screen presentation.
- Oversee box office, door/usher, snack bar, and theatre operations as required.
- Monitor concession operations, cash handling, inventory, product standards, and daily procedures.
- Conduct and follow up on regular theatre, lobby, and washroom checks.
- Respond professionally to guest concerns and operational issues, using appropriate judgment and escalating significant matters to the Senior Manager.
- Support movie programming, projection operations, private screenings, events, and group bookings as required.
- Assist with local deliveries, supply pickups, grocery/parcel pickups and drop-offs, and other operational errands when required.
- Monitor health and safety requirements and ensure Film.Ca policies and procedures are followed.
- Assist with local marketing, promotions, and community relationships in Petawawa and the surrounding area.
- Communicate important operational, staffing, maintenance, or guest concerns to the Senior Manager.
- Help ensure Film.Ca policies, procedures, and brand standards are consistently followed.

- Comfortable working hands-on alongside the team when required.
- Previous experience in cinema, hospitality, retail, food service, or entertainment is an asset.

Availability
This position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as occasional Monday–Friday daytime availability for operational responsibilities such as deliveries, supply pickups, inventory, training, or other daytime requirements.

Additional Requirements
- A valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is considered an asset, as the position may occasionally involve deliveries, grocery or supply pickups, and parcel drop-offs.
- This is a hands-on position that involves lifting and moving operational supplies and inventory. Some items, including pop syrup boxes, may weigh up to approximately 60 lbs. (27 kg). Candidates should be comfortable performing these physical duties safely, with appropriate assistance or equipment where required.
