Happy Canada Day!

Encore Cinemas is a proud Canadian company, and we show it by offering as many Canadian-made flicks as we can get our hands on.

Most recently you may have seen Paul Gross starring in the outrageous spaghetti-western Gunless, or the inspirational Terry at our Terry Fox fundraiser earlier this year.

But if you're in the mood for some Canadiana right now, check out Jacob Tierney's The Trotsky (14A). Starring the up-and-coming Canadian Jay Baruchel alongside the beautiful and talented Liane Balaban and Emily Hampshire, the Trotsky follows Leon Bronstein (Baruchel) as he tries to live up to his hero (and the man he believes he's a reincarnate of) Leon Trotsky.
