So did we! Encore Cinemas is a community-based business and we do everything we can to be more green - and that doesn't include showing Avatar! Most recently we've been making some changes to ensure we're environmentally friendly. All of our cleaning supplies have been converted to organic-based cleaners and removed potentially harmful air fresheners from the washrooms. At both of our locations we've converted all exterior and interior lights to florescent bulbs, installed timers on our hot water tanks and installed energy saving devices on all HVAC systems. We separate all garbage at our theatres and recycle all plastic and paper waste from the products our guests purchase. But perhaps most importantly, we proudly host a monthly film series 'Halton Green Screens' to you, our guests, to help build awareness and educate on environmental issues.
