Saturday, August 30th, 2008 was our 10th anniversary at Encore. Exactly 10 years ago that day, we showed our first film, "Disney's Mulan" at the original Encore (Plaza Cinemas) next door to the current location (behind the Shoppers Drug Mart.

The BEST movie theatre in Oakville (according to the readers of the Oakville Beaver) and Burlington (according to us). The response to our Summer Toonie Kids Film Festival was so overwhelming that we have decided to make it a regular Encore offering! Every Saturday and Sunday (and holiday, school break) morning, we will offer family films for $2.00! Just another way we are making it possible to go to the movies without going broke! We learned earlier today, that the Encore Oakville Mews Cinemas has been awarded the Diamond Award (the top honour) as the Best Movie Theatre in Oakville according to the readers of the Oakville Beaver.
As you can plainly see from the award on our home page, we are very proud of our distinction and we want to thank our patrons, staff, friends and families for their support and for their votes! As a happy coincidence, Encore turns ten on August 30th, and we are thrilled that the people of Oakville gave us a diamond to celebrate! Jeff the CEO
