Our Movies for Mommies program is over for the summer. Danielle and her crew will be gearing up for a return to Burlington, Thursdays at 1:30 in September - date to be announced.
Oakville Movies for Mommies will continue through the the month of August and we hope our Burlington mommies and daddies can come and see us at the Mews!
WE HAD A GREAT INITIAL FLURRY OF DONATIONS, BUT THEY HAVE TAPERED OFF. PLEASE KEEP UP THE DONATIONS! EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT COMING FOR A MOVIES, FEEL FREE TO DROP OFF FOOD AND WE WILL GET IT TO KERR ON YOUR BEHALF!
With summer in full swing, so many of us are paying attention to vacations, childcare and movies (shameless plug... sorry). When our attention is distracted, we sometimes forget our fellow man/women/children in need. It has come to our attention that the cupboards at the Kerr Street Market are almost bear and that just cannot be allowed to happen! The staff and management of Encore Oakville would like you to join us as we do our part to try and fill those shelves with food and the other essentials of life that our neighbours require! Today is the day that we get to annually celebrate the fact that we live in the greatest country on the face of the earth! Canada is 141 years young today and everyone who calls this great place home should celebrate that we enjoy a Country and way of life that includes peace, prosperity, freedom and tolerance.
So today, go hug a veteran - tell your kids how lucky they are - listen to an Anne Murray CD - anything to celebrate the greatness of Canada.
